Community Guidelines

Welcome to SyncNomads. These guidelines exist to keep discussions productive, respectful, and genuinely useful for every member.

The Short Version

Treat every interaction as if you’re speaking with a respected colleague. Be direct, be helpful, back up your claims with evidence.

Participation Standards

Contribute substance, not noise. The best discussions on SyncNomads include specific examples, real metrics, reproducible approaches, or thoughtful analysis. “Great post!” adds little value. “Here’s how I applied this in my project and what happened…” moves the conversation forward.

Respect expertise across verticals. A real estate professional’s operational insight may be unfamiliar to a developer — and vice versa. Ask clarifying questions before dismissing unfamiliar perspectives.

One topic per discussion. If a conversation branches into a meaningfully different subject, start a new topic. This makes discussions searchable and useful long after they’re posted.

Credit your sources. When referencing data, frameworks, or ideas from external sources, link to the original. When building on another member’s contribution, acknowledge it.

What Belongs Here

  • Technical walkthroughs with working examples
  • Industry analysis backed by data or direct experience
  • Questions that demonstrate you’ve done initial research
  • Case studies — especially ones that include what didn’t work
  • Resource recommendations with context on why they’re useful

What Doesn’t Belong

  • Self-promotion without substance (links to your product with no community value)
  • Unsolicited sales pitches or recruitment spam
  • Content copied from elsewhere without attribution or added perspective
  • Urgency tactics, clickbait titles, or sensationalist framing
  • Personal attacks, harassment, or dismissive behaviour toward any member

How Moderation Works

SyncNomads uses a trust-based moderation system. As you participate constructively, you earn trust levels that unlock additional capabilities:

  • Trust Level 0 (New) — Read and reply in general discussions
  • Trust Level 1 (Basic) — Full posting access, including links and images
  • Trust Level 2 (Contributor) — Access to vertical-specific categories, ability to invite new members
  • Trust Level 3 (Expert) — Wiki editing, topic retagging, and expanded moderation tools
  • Trust Level 4 (Ambassador) — Category-level moderation for your vertical

Community moderators review flagged content and may edit, move, or remove posts that don’t meet these standards. Repeated violations result in account restrictions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can join SyncNomads?
Anyone with a professional interest in technology, education, real estate, or healthcare. Registration is open and free.

Do I need to be an expert to participate?
No. Thoughtful questions and beginner perspectives are valuable. What matters is genuine engagement, not years of experience.

How do I access vertical-specific categories (TechSync, EduSync, etc.)?
These open up as you reach Trust Level 2 through regular participation. Read posts, contribute replies, and engage with the community.

Can I promote my product or service?
Only if it genuinely adds value to an ongoing discussion. Dedicated promotional posts without substance will be removed. If you’ve built something relevant, share it as a case study with real details.

How do I report a problem?
Use the flag button on any post to report it to moderators. For account or platform issues, email ictadmin@digitechnomads.com.
